Blog roundup

by Sam Glover on December 27, 2006

I have been rather busy lately, what with planning a wedding for New Year’s Eve and all, so I haven’t been updating with my usual frequency. Here is a (small) roundup of recent blog posts from other consumer blogs.

Economic Model Almost Working or Broken?

Credit Slips takes a look at the appropriate role of the “rational actor” in law and policy.

Consumers Buy Only 23 Songs Per iPod

Perhaps unsurprising, but consumers are filling up their iPods with their CDs (and presumably with illegal tracks, if the RIAA’s insane lawsuit campaign is any indication).

New Hampshire’s Crappy Lemon Law

In New Hampshire (and presumably in some other states, as well), any vehicle over 9,000 pounds (i.e. full-size SUVs) is a “commercial vehicle” and therefore not subject to the NH lemon law. One more reason not to buy a full-size SUV, or a law no longer in sync with modern vehicle trends? (Or is the law kept to allow big SUV drivers to claim a tax rebate for their “commercial vehicle”? Or is that loophole closed, now?)

If you are in Minnesota, contact The Glover Law Firm, LLC, for a free case evaluation. In any other state, you can find a consumer rights lawyer using the National Association of Consumer Advocates lawyer database.
